In this four week series, we'll walk you through one of five projects (your choice). Skills covered include:
Reading and following a pattern
How to use interfacing, batting or foam stabilizer to add body and strength to your project
Sewing handles and straps
You can choose from the following patterns:
Knot + Thread Patchwork Duffle - You really can carry it all with this giant duffle bag. Choose between a solid exterior fabric or scrap it up with some patchwork. There are two exterior pockets.
Knot + Thread Patchwork Duffle Mini - Same as the patchwork duffle, but slightly smaller.
Knot + Thread All the Things Tote - Perfect to carry anything and everything on your next road trip. Features a large opening with two end panel pockets. There are three sizes to choose from.
By Annie Pack It In - Get organized and streamline packing with these handy packing cubes. There are 3 sizes.
By Annie Ultimate Travel Bag - The perfect travel companion. The bag includes zippered and slip pockets on the front and back plus more pockets inside to keep everything organized.
We have samples in the shop if you want to come by before you finalize your choice.
Skill requirements: This is a confident beginner sewing workshop; you do not need to have any experience sewing bags, but you must have basic machine-sewing skills. Our Beginning Sewing class (or equivalent) is a prerequisite for this class.
Your chosen pattern and the first $75 in supplies is included with the class fee.
