Workshop Description:

Sashiko is a form of Japanese embroidery that began as purpose driven stitching used to reinforce and repair textiles. It has expanded into a beautiful, detailed decorative art. Students will learn basic sashiko sewing and patterning techniques to create decorative moyozashi (patterned, running stitch design) patterns and sew a set of coasters. 

Required supplies: Sashiko thread (minimum 2 colors) and needles (both available for purchase at a 10% discount in the shop).

We’ll supply the fabric and tools.
